Most installations complete within 14 days of the survey, on average. The exact timescale depends on the property, survey findings, equipment availability, scaffolding and network requirements.
Access may be needed to the meter, consumer unit, loft or proposed equipment locations. We explain what is needed when the assessment is booked.
The final design can change after the property assessment, electrical checks or detailed roof measurements. Any material change is explained before installation goes ahead.
We explain any visible concerns found during the assessment. Roofing work may need to be completed before the solar installation.
Most domestic rooftop solar is permitted development, but listed buildings, conservation areas and some flat-roof systems can need approval. We check this during the survey.
